Scott Westover, founder of Nevada School & Sport Photography, was born and raised in this great Northern Nevada community. After graduating from Reed High School, he moved on to a college baseball endeavor that sent him to Yakima Valley Junior College in Washington for two years. After an injury ended his baseball aspirations, he came back to Reno to attend the University of Nevada where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration. His career of choice after college was to move on to his second life-long dream to become a CPA. Though his stint as a CPA lasted only 7 years, it built the foundation for his eventual move into the sports photography business. In 2000 he became a sports action photographer and formed Westover Photography. During the 2006 season, he decided to change the company’s name to Nevada School and Sport Photography. Since the inception of Westover Photography in 2000, Scott has developed his business into Northern Nevada’s pre-eminent sports photography company.

During that time he and his wife Theresa have had two wonderful children. A son, Dylan, and a daughter, Rachel.

Though his family and his business tend to keep him busy, you can still occasionally find Scott playing in the Sierras. As an avid skier, rock and ice climber, mountaineer, and plain old outdoor junky, his endeavors usually lend him to some great photo opportunities.
